Is anyone else experiencing unprecedently poor quality service at the moment?

I'm not having trouble right now but it seems like it is always intermittently bad. We just had a cable modem installed. Does anyone know the outgoing email server for coral cablevision. They told me it is smtp.ccv.bz.com but I can't send outgoing mail.

I had Coral Cable (don't now) but I used my own server, so no idea. I've never used any of the locally "provided" servers in Belize, as I hear too many stories of them being blocked due to spam.

Is anyone elses cable blinking on and off every second for the last few hours?
And why don't they have a web page and an email address so I can complain?

The last few hours? I've had nothing but problems for the last week or so.

Wouldn't ya' think that the 'internet service provider' would have a webpage and an email address?--not that they would ever check it. They are lucky there is no important World Cup match on right now or Mr. Pete Jr. might be crucified in Central Park.

I think Coral Cable has just recently extended their line as far as Costa Maya and possibly even farther.
almost to reach the real North part of the island :-)

My insurance has given me the run-around and I have wasted a whole month here getting nothing done.

Its the just the normal North South thing.
The North Precinct had me biting my tongue, We cant get the police to respond to anything on the North end , and now they think Tres Cocos is North because of course that's where the North Precinct is thanks to the North Ambergris Neighborhood Watch group diligently watching the South part of the island.
WTF is wrong with these people?

and please give a copy to the Police i was in the station the other day and bigger than life is a map of the south end of Ambergris marked North and South.
no wonder they cant respond to problems on North Ambergris their Map doesnt even show we exist!

The Coral Cable expansion "middle island" and parts north is (I think) just for TV and not yet for internet.
Cable TV is in Mata Grande, that much I know.
I think the threads above were mixing discussions of TV and internet which are different services and might be functioning differently at any given time.

BTL said today the DSL service would be to Legacy by end of August.
Coral Cable did a hook up assessment for me (at my house) about two weeks ago and asked for a pole to be in place prior to the hook up and the pole is in place now, so I'm currently waiting for the technician to check the pole and wire for the hook up.
I already have DSL at the shop.
The two companys use the same poles, but i think Coral Cable vision pays BTL for the use.
