I was wondering if any expats have raised children in Belize and what the challenges are? I have a 17yo and a 12yo.

We moved to Belize in 2002 with a 13, 7, and a 4 year old. You can PM us with any questions if you want.

Encourage the kids to learn to dive, sail, fish, windsurf,
kiteboard. All are fun, physical, healthy sports. Other than the water, there's not much else for kids to do here.

San Pedro has dance classes for girls.

San Pedro dance troupes are also open to boys.

We love football.

I wish my mom wouldve moved to belize when I was that age. instead of ohio! yuck!
