i need a little help with my little lemon crush belize business...
36 bikinis are being made in canada, and will be ready to ship to someone to bring. They should be completed on Feb 27, and i would overnight to someone to bring down here before March 4. They will take up about 7 fully stuffed one gallon zip locks (i only mention so you'll know how much room, they wont be in ziplocs Smiley)

I need them to be able to sew the stuff on them so i can bring them to the Bridal Show in VEGAS baby!!!

I know this is a huge request, but if anyone is interested i'll gladly buy ya some belikins!

please email at info@lemoncrushbelize.com or PM me here.

thanks so much!!!

she brought me a few cans of tuna in 2006. In all the hubbub of the week, i failed to buy her a beer. We discussed it, i apologized via email, however, i guess for some the tuna wounds are deep.

Now, aside from that incident 4 years ago...

Is there anyone out there? I'll pay the weight on your luggage if there is an overage. thanks so much in advance!

Kerry has brought things down for me as well, and she was a very willing "mule". The carping criticism above is quite uncalled for. She may equally be referring to the bulk of what Lara wants brought down - 7 gallons is an awful lot!

The other option would be to mail the package to yourself at the San Pedro post office. It would cost around $US60 for mailing USPS priority and then whatever it costs to clear the customs duties. But in the end probably the same cost as you would expect if you pay the extra luggage charge ($100 US per piece of luggage.)

Your products are sold for profit so this would simply be a cost of doing business. Yes it sucks, but it is the best way to guarantee you can meet your deadlines.

not trying to ditch paying anything, its just a matter of timing.

i can't get enough of the grocery stores up there. the massive veggie isle plays music, has the little misters spraying, lights dim and brighten as you get near, the most gorgeous veggies you will ever see! i do all the cooking while i visit my parents and i hit the stores twice a day. walking around with my mouth hanging open, in awe.
then i get back here and i can't find one stinkin banana to feed the bats?

a rack of toothbrushes 12 feet long, 1,000s of flavors of soup, can't buy boneless chicken breasts that are not 'buy one get one free'. no,, i don't want a free one,, i'm comming back in the morning!
deli's, free samples, more bread than you have ever seen in one spot, hundreds of gallons of not yet expired milk, 60 feet of magizines, definitely my favorite stores!

Barnacle reading your grocery store adventures remind me of going to Trader Joe's after living here 3.5 years.

I was so awed and stunned by the choice that all I ended up with was dark chocolate covered toffee with pistachios - a bottle of fancy energized water and some jelly bellys. (I could have easily filled 2 suitcases full.)

Lara - I know a family which is coming down from Washington State in a week's time. They may well be able to stash your stuff somewhere, as they've already asked me if there's anything I want brought down. They're good friends and I'd expect you to treat them to a meal or something - they don't live lavishly. PM me or phone me asap.

I've carried down small personal items for several ex-patriots over the years, and know that many of my board friends have done the same. The addition of the “Wish List” topic by Pugwash has helped match up the requests with the willing “couriers” (prefer this term over Pack Mule :)).

I was a bit surprised to see this request from a business owner. The offer of a few beers didn’t really seem adequate for the size of the favor. I was happy to see that Lara later added the offer to pay for baggage overage if necessary. I guess my question would be, what happens if the kind soul who transports the items gets challenged at customs upon arrival? Hopefully a plan is in place to handle it (receipts, prompt reimbursement, etc).

Peter, "good on ya" for offering up a solution for a fellow ex-patriot.

Lara, timing is everything, that’s for sure. It looks like you have it covered. Good luck.

kerry, sadly i havent seen you in the time since that incident. of course, the fact that they were stolen is obviously not your fault. i apologized at the time, havent seen you since, i'm truly sorry that it caused you so much angst that you're feeling it still, 4 years later.

Jesse, this was 4 years ago, couldnt get tuna then.

gela, of course beer is less than what would be appropriate..just dont think that posting dinner, drinks, cash, free stay at my house, whatever...i dont know what people would like from me in exchange.

hayden, please pm me. I'm not sure if you are referring to me as i'm afraid i simply dont recall and we've never discussed anything. Again, please pm me, and if i've something to apologize for, i would like the opportunity to do so.

not looking to dodge customs or anyone else. just a matter of a situation arising, and frankly, i've seen many many business ask for a little support and things brought down from time to time.

Thanks peter!!!

similar to the great Clumping Cat Litter drought of 2007. Fortunately for my geriatric kitty, that hasnt happened again. smile

I'll just ship them to vegas and meet them there for that. obviously, from a business expense, anyone can understand why i would ask for some help, glad to pay for it, and just get through one of the many challenges WE HAVE ALL faced living and attempting to work in belize.
