Just back from the island, and have to say, that one of our favorite places to eat was Pinocchio.. What great itailian food. and I will also say we rented Casa Caracol, and that was the best house to rent..

Thanks breezee30. Not sure which group you were but we're glad you enjoyed your time in San Pedro. "the best" is always nice to hear as the competion is great, but we know it's the whole Caye that really makes it the best.

I love Boca del Rio area. If I had a lotta money, that's where I'd buy a place.

I wish someone would print a map of ambergris denoting all the named zones with which you all speak.

That's a good idea, I have never seen one. Perhaps an enterprising web orientated Ambergis Caye dot com sort of person might adapt a map - if he can find a minute. One of the problems is that many locals don't know the names and boundaries of all the sub divisions.

Boca del Rio is everything between the beach and Laguna Drive (the road to the bridge) from the Roundabout to the River. The other side of the road to the lagoon is San Juan. For those without these references it's a ten minute stroll up the beach, North of the Town Centre.
