Can anyone living on Caye Caulker have a look at this thread under "Ambergris Caye" and advise whether the bar still exists, and if so its name etc?

I and I Reggae Bar. Salvador Marin is your host, an unforgettable guy,located just off Front Street near the burial ground. There are loosely three clubs in town I an I in the south, Sports Bar in middle,Oceanside on the north.IanI kind of in a tree,sand floors in Oceanside. Sports Bar is not very ..uh...the kind of place Ashcroft would stop in. On the other hand,Julian Marley was there once at IanI.

What about the 'disco' on the northern end lagoon side? I rarely hear anyone mention it but I know it exists...

Their was a Disco on the North side..it was only open for a year or less..has been closed for mabe 4 or 5 yrs now, mabe more, it was pretty popular as an after hours place.unloading very intoxicated young folks at the Split at sunrise.they furnished transportation which at times was scary. I never went but my sons would go over. The owner ran down and killed a tourist swimming the Split while on a liquor run and the place never reopened...didnt know they still had a door on the place to hang a sign...
