I am planning to visit AC this summer and was wondering how different mid July is from early August? Are there alot more bugs in August? Also, does it rain more in August? I'm pretty flexible about what month I come in but I would like to be there at the nicest possible time. The less bugs the better. Thanks for any info.

Belize is like most anywhere else -- you can't predict the weather. If you hear from folks who say July is like this and August is like that, keep a grain of salt handy.

Having said that, I'd give the slight edge to July, or June to July, or May to June -- the earlier in the summer the better -- though I've spent many Augusts in Belize and generally had decent weather.

Beenznrice,
we chose July because several people on the
board said their choice ,hands down, was July
August seemed to be hot, muggy, and lots of bugs.. We have never been so must take their word... Good Luck on your choice...John S.

I agree... July wins slightly... I probably wouldn't even consider August...
