hi. i was just hearing of a new condo resort. it is called Playa Blanca. anyone heard of it or know anyting about it. they say they have 1600 sq ft condos, beachfront, brand new. anyone? thanks.

Information On Playa Blanca Beach Resort


Scheduled to open on June 1st 2001 located at Playa Blanca on 200ft of white sand beach just North of Mata Chica Resort.

Condos and beach casitas and dedicated dive operation

4 luxury 2 Bedroom 1600 sq ft Beachfront condos (largest units on the island so far)

10 Casitas under construction main building 75% complete.

Diving will be operated onsite By Gaz Cooper's Dive Belize and the diving portion of the resort will be specifically designed for Divers keeping numbers small and personal.

Website will be online in about 3 weeks www.playablancabelize.com and Marty from ambergriscaye.com will be working his magic on the website design once he returns from his european vacation.

WE STAYED AT MATA CHICA AND WENT KAYAKING NORTH APPROX 1 MILE. THERE IS ANOTHER EXISTING RESORT THERE THAT HAS RECENTLY CHANGED OWNERSHIP. THE BLUE HOLE BOAT WAS DOCKED THERE...WONDERING ABOUT HOW TO OBTAIN INFO ON THAT CONDO/RESORT TOO???

Hi, I'm just wondering about the Playa Blanca
condos??? I have a lot I bought 10 yrs. ago
there and they assured me even last summer
that it is an area for single family houses
only....so what's with the condos???? And
where are they located...north on the beach
or south? If this is so....I'm not the least
bit happy and did the builders follow the
building zoning requirements or did they just
do their own thing??? Unhappy in the desert!

What lot do you own in playa blanca ??

FYI Playa Blanca is a big area and if i am right you own a lot in the Playa Blanca Subdivision which is zoned for familly dwellings only however Playa blanca runs another 2000ft past that subdivision, plus there is another large lot for Sale in the Playa blanca area that could be developed should the buyers decide to go that way.

Whichever way your bit of paradise is still there and another owner in the subdivision just bought 180ft of beach (3 lots) just to leave green and avoid anyone building on there this means the area will be even lower density meaning a nicer surrounding for all lot owners in the division.

while some people will be unhappy with development it is a part of the islands future that we will all have to live with.
