Hi Rick and Cheri...Ralph, Barbara and son Max are interested...! Edd H. has been talking with my son about fishing for about 4 months now...I think that he'll be qualified as a Belizean tour guide when we arrive on April 13th...

Guys since I'm getting there after the BBQ...can ya save me some sauce?...The 18th is getting SOOOO CLOSE!!!!!!!! WAAAAFRIGGGINHOOOOOO

Ralph..the Palapa is a bar/restaurant north of the river cut, beachside...if you've never been to AC, either get a water taxi to take you, or rent a golf cart and have someone point you towards the ferry 2 take u across...about 1.5/2 miles from cut..AXEMAN, will u be there the following Sunday? If you're not to tired from traveling, meet us at the Holiday Hotel around 8-8:30 pm, we're celebrating a couple of B-Days that night...we'll show u the "town"

I will Be there....if I have to crawl...I'll be staying at Coconuts Caribe. Not sure of the room number yet, but I'll be in town on Wed. so Sunday will be a DEFINATE! Is there anything I should bring?, Wine, Dom Peri, knee pads if I plan on crawling home? I guess the sand is soft, so strike the knee pads...people might get the wrong idea. Guess it depends on the crowd.

ralph is staying at journeys end. i believe the palapa is SOUTH of him? i didnt go to palapa. there arent rental golf carts from JE. does he have to take the taxi south? can they walk it? i am being his little guardian angel!

oh, and we want photos and DETAILS when you return, guys!!!!

Ralph, Mom, & especially young Max are my special guests for your BBQ. They will be staying at JER. I figure Ralph will find a way to make it to Palapa, but I need for you to make sure they have a way home.Please get them out of there before mucho Belikin's make things too gross for Max, or more likely, Mom (Max is 11 going on about 30, so I doubt it is possible to gross him out!). Either arrange for a water taxi to take them back, hire Hillyboo, or whatever, and just send me the bill. These are great folks that you will have a super time with. Max is a hoot. Ask him to do a set with the band. Anyway, please do whatever it takes to make them feel special. I'll settle up with you when you get home.

Since I'm only a rookie (5 months reading the message board)...I can be promoted when we return...to a regular. But for now, without even visiting...I'm coming back next year. If Belize is one tenth as nice and the people of Belize and all the "regulars" are one tenth as nice, I'm hooked...

My son will be keeping a "log book".. We'll take a ton of pictures and report back as much as humanly possible. Maybe I can be Lan Jr?

Rick, Pam and I will definately be there. We got ya beat by a day. We get in Friday. See ya Saturday.

We are doing this for the people of the island, and all proceeds will go directly to them... We love the island and will do what ever it takes to take care of them with ya'lls help.. I thank you all in advance for all the monies we will raise for them...

Folks, you have NO idea how excited I am...well maybe ya do...I'm haveing trouble sleeping now with 12..ahh make that, 11 days to go...Please get hold of Julian Riverio at the computer shop if ya have time and have him email me at memerson@cox.rr.com.
I need to know if he needs any computer parts, I have a ton of old stuff laying around that I can bring that may help him...all free...It's just gathering dust...

hey, I'm really a rookie - i just started reading this site today. Anyway, I am also going to hop on the Belize band-wagon and was wondering how you are all going about finding apartments/homes, etc. I'm only 22, so I'm not exactly in the market for a house that costs 2200/month, but I want to learn Spanish and bathe in the ocean.
IF you could just let me know what you are all expecting to pay in rent for an apartment, i would be so grateful.

ok, fill me in, WHY can't we go out alone..is the big bad wolf gonna eat us? I think San Pedro is small enough for us not to get lost....AND since we're both MATURE men we know what's good and not good for us...I would not endanger him in any way...plus even a hint of trouble and we'll run like the wind screaming CHERI CHERI HELP HELP SAVE us Save us...hehe..ok all kidding aside, let me restate my desires for this trip.
1. Dive till I develope gills
2. Meets as many cool people as I can in 9 short days.
3. SEE BAREFOOT...this is a must!
3a. Do the Chicken drop thing.
3b. Go see Julian R and keep my promise.
4. Eat with R&C on 18th at Holiday, and party till we all puke! Which in my case will be about 4 beers. (can you say lightweight)
5. Spend the last day whineing about having to go home, then breaking down and crying like a baby cause I have to leave.
6. Come home and post on the message board till you all THROW ME OFF.(joke)
7. Pack all I can carry...drive to the keys and swim back to AC like Elian Gonzalas, and claim political asylum due to unfair treatment by Washington drivers.( THEY ARE INSANE!)

Oh No!!! It sounds worse than i thought..LOL I'm usually the one who gets in trouble, Rick takes the golf cart keyes away from me, you'll probably see me sitting on the back of one pouting! Oh yea, if we're gonna eat at the Holiday, let's go around 6:30..they have beachside bar-b-q w/live music on Weds. But for those who don't want to partake, meet us in the bar 8-8:30 pm..i'm sure we'll see Barefoot play several times..it's only a matter of days now!!

Thats a ? I havn't heard on this board . I've seen pictures of folks with a drink in hand but that don't make it legal. How about it guys(or girls) can you walk or ride golf cart with open alcohol drink in San Pedro, or on the beach??????????? John S.

i'm not sure about the golf cart, but we walk w/Belikins in hand!!!And just keep in mind it's Easter! Respect their traditions. At some point in that weekend, i know several places stop serving alcohol until the Procession is over...not to worry, we'll keep plenty in the frig!!!

See yawl down there in 7 DAYS!!!!! They are working me like the Dog that I am. By the time I get down there I'll be exhausted.

I'm trying not to rub it in too bad with the guys I work with. Just comments like " hey no problem...by this time next week I'll be underwater with a much better species."

" Sure I'll do that! after all I'm gonna be on the beach in a few days..and you'll be where????"

" Work is just what I do between trips"

" Go ahead and screw it up..by the time you figure it out I'll be in AC and your STILL going to have to fix it"

Needless to say most are about ready to kill me and they too can't wait till I leave!
