What's the best way to increase your chances of seeing a dolphin around Caye Caulker?

We see them fairly often on the west side of the Island. The last time we were down we got into a group of probably 6-7 about half way up on the North Island. They stayed around the boat for maybe 10 minures.

Windsurf. They come alongside esp. on the west side.

I've seen about 50 a couple months ago by the Caye Chapel channel. See them often on the west side of the north island. Unfortunately they refuse to post a schedule. The crocs have that same problem.

I've never windsurfed before and don't know how long it takes to learn, though I'd give it a try. Will kayaking do?

I've been anxious to see dolphins in the wild for so many years, but have been unsuccessful so far. Maybe I should phone ahead and let them know I'm coming.

Update: I've been browsing the interwebs and it turns out that dolphins are most active at dawn. That's way too early.

Yes I have some fantastic memories of sailing a one man boat around the north island and a dolphin family regularly swimming alongside to see what I was up to.

Not sure about Caye Caulker specifically but have heard many more people seeing dolphins here around AC so hopefully there too.

Someone we know recently got a 23 min video of himself swimming with a pod of 8 dolphins on a dive.

Each morning around 6:15 a family of 3, 2 adults and a baby would entertain me while drinking coffee on the veranda.
