Probably a million dollars could construct the kinda bridge on that road that wouldn't damage the lagoon and its protected wildlife like the American Crocodile that live there.
I really don't know how to estimate those things for all i know it could cost three million.
The development seems to be collecting a lot of money with the amount of lots they are boasting to have sold.A few million for the proper type of construct should be affordable.

Today it seems they have completed about a mile of damned up lagoon with out a single culvert or bridge.
Work is definitely not stopped.

The chairman of the Ambergris Caye Local Building Authority resigned today stating he could not do his job and stop projects proceeding illegally or with out approved plans.
"As it is now, the ACLBA depends totally on the San Pedro Town Council for everything. The ACLBA is unable to follow through with any of its stop orders mainly because of the existing structure. If a couple of people where taken to court for breaking the law and they where penalized, I can guarantee you
that the problem would stop."

ahhh, progress, very nice to see things moving along and cleaning up the joint sort ta speak, am i hearing correctly that the mexicans have the bridge ready and waitng to transport?
This will be the "new san pedro" and will reinforce the islands economy once the subdivision is opened up.
NOW elberta if you need to spend time griping about something,
truly san pedro has a huge problem with prices and how they vary,
hotels & groceries, lack of control in both of those alone is enought to detour any second incounters from tourist, is that not important enough for you elbert and your business, please say it is, tourist dont want to be looking over there backs everytime
they book or purchase, the law needs attn. in that area, as far as the GBE no law is broken, just the feelings perhaps of the narrow minded. Progress is the order of the day ,,
