My wife and I have recently begun discussing and dreaming about one day moving to Belize. I've been browsing through the forums but can't find the info I am seeking. Can anyone provide information on what the employment possibilities would be for someone who is an entertainment technician? Specifically to me, I am an entertainment lighting tech with a varied background in video, staging, band setup, etc.

From reading the forums, I understand that I won't make but a small fraction of what I do now. It also seems that opportunities are extremely limited in all employment areas.

There are already a lot of Belizeans here who do that type of work. They may welcome volunteer tutors to help teach young people these skills though. There are very few venues in Belize and the quality of equipment is generally basic as it is very difficult to maintain equipment in this climate and spare parts are hard to come by.
