Mexico’s National Immigration Institute has announced some changes to its immigration procedures.

The main one that will affect visitors who travel to Belize via Mexico is that the current FMT entry form for tourists will be replaced by an FMM (Forma Migratoria Multiple).

It will cover visits of up to 180 days for tourists, business visitors and technical visitors, with sections on the form for each category type. The new procedures are scheduled to be implemented beginning 1 May 2010.
