We will be visiting Belize for the 1st time in June. I have read good things on Tikal and have a few questions:

1. Has anyone done the full moon package? What does it include and is it worth it?
2. Curious what the feeling is on amount of time to spend exploring Tikal? I have read that you can't do it justice with just one day - what feedback do you that have visited have on this? I am thinking of spending 2 days, but want to make sure we won't get bored.
3. Is it difficult arranging transportation from either San Ignacio (border crossing) or Flores?

I have done the day trip to Tikal and it is a very long day. Im not the most enthusiastic about Mayan ruins but Tikal was spectaqular and I am glad I went but it was a bit rushed in a day.

I have heard sunrise is beautiful there what with the Howler monkeys and the sunrise etc

I am quite sure that lots of places offer trips, but we stayed at Cahal Pech and went through them for our 1 day trip to Tikal. IT WAS FABULOUS! They took care of all transportation and everything in immigration, etc. at the border. I do think that more than 1 day to spend there would be great to see everything at length, but it was a great trip that I would definitely do again.
