A big part of the problem is IMO that people don't in general know what the correct procedure is for buying realty and establishing title. If there were a government pamphlet, or just a webpage, which set out authoritatively what had to be done that would help a lot. When I bought my house I was utterly and largely blindly dependant on my realtor.

I was impressed by Angel Nunez's article in the Sun this week. his article titled '25years ago'....impressed is the wrong word shocked and surprised coming from him. mild manored principle of the highschool.
He seems to be advocating taking the law into our own hands and just fixing the problems. He sights several times in the past , the town just got out and corrected what ever problem that was the issue of the day.
