Absolutely. They couldn't be used inside the reef. As for hovercraft, as well as being unbelievably noisy they are also very heavy on fuel. They were used extensively around the UK until they were gradually taken out of service because they were just too costly to operate. An interesting idea, but my word you need to do your homework.

Having the problem (as you stated above) with collisions with the sea life and the possibilty of disturbing the eco system while conducting business is why I had thought of the hover craft since there is no hull that sets down into the water. Yes they are noisy that is sure, now as far as the fuel mileage that is something I yet have to check into, I no that more fuel efficient motors have been developed.

What to do?

Teach the Manatee to be more like Dolphins,and move the reef to where it should be........LOL

We don't have manatee and whales swimming around any places i can imagine you wanting to go .
There was a fellow that tried this as a tour craft a few years back. I remember the noise made it unbearable.

That being said, I will then assume this fellow is no longer in business using this particular water craft. I appreciate your insight, thanks.
