As a croc lover, I would think that this kind of sanctuary right on AC would be a very popular draw for tourists, etc. That kind of thing, along with lots of other things of course, is what sets AC apart from the usual hum drum Caribbean island, IMO.
I agree with Gary and Sally about the tourist draw and letting them have a place on the island. They are a part of our eco system. Let them alone. We do however need ACES or some folks like them to help with the occasional problem croc or croc in trouble. Balance of Nature sort of thing they have a place here and if we eliminate them the balance is off. Florida makes big bucks with alligators. Makes the golf course more interesting also.
I've been trying to create some awareness for Ambergris's Lagoons with this Blog. http://matalagoon.blogspot.com/ Tourist canoeing and kayaking in them is a big attraction. They have a great value , shame so many just want to fill them in and build on them.
