It's certainly a Coolpix, and it appears to be one of the mid-range "S" models. We don't know when it was lost or bought though.

Amazing story, but that poor turtle. One can't help but wonder how long it suffered with the camera attached to its fin. Must have been quite frightening for it.

It's not the camera thaw was red or amazing; it was the Ikelite housing. Ike should make an advertising campaign around this as it is always rumored that the acrylic housing are fragile! ha ha ha.
