Can someone give me a rundown of the best tours/packages for things to do in Belize and who to go through? We will be there 5/27-6/3. We would like to snorkel, kayak, see ruins or any other kinds of activities, except we don't dive. Any suggestions greatly appreciated. We are staying at Tropica and I know we can sign up for stuff through them, but I would like to get the best bang for my buck - most knowledgeable, friendly, helpful, etc. Thanks to all who respond.

Yes, you can sign up for tours and such through your hotel, but it was my experience that you can save a few dollars by dealing directly with the tour group. There is a wealth of information on this board. If you look at the top right hand corner of the board you will see a search function. Click on it and enter any topic you wish to know more about, and all the posts including that topic will be listed. It's fantastic. All the tour groups seem to be reputable. I can only speak for myself. We took a sailing trip on a catamaran to Caye Caulker for the day through Hustler Tours. It was a wonderful trip and the snorkel stops were outstanding. I can recommend them. My husband set up his own fishing directly with some of the locals. It was cheaper and he got very individualized attention. He was most pleased. I realize I didn't help much, but there are a ton of people on here who will.... Belize it!
