What are the options for getting from Placencia to Rotan via flights or boats? Thinking of adding a side trip to the annual February adventures!!

Water Taxi Between from Placencia and Puerto Cortes

The “D-Express” departs from the dock by the Shell gas station on Fridays at 9:30 am. There is a stop at Big Creek. Departure from Big Creek at 11:00 am. Arrives at Puerto Cortes, Honduras about 2:00 p.m.

Cost: BZ$110.00 (US$55.00) plus any exit fees.

Tickets available at the Placencia Tourism Center. Tel: 202-4506 or 523-4045. Email: placencia@btl.net

Check the website for updates and information:

Don't know about getting from P. Cortes to Roatan.

Check these airlines for flights:
http://www.mayaregional.com/home
http://www.taca.com/

Taca shows a flight from Belize City.
Maya shows Roatan on their list of destinations, but doesn't have a schedule. You better contact them to confirm.

Puerto Cortes is almost as far from Roatan as is Placencia.

Here's some Roatan sites. Look down towards the bottom for info on ferries and such from LaCeiba and San Pedro Sula.
