The centenarian was first featured in our newscast in 2008 - for being one of the oldest men still alive in Belize. Today Herbert Gentle has turned one hundred and two years old - and once again we were there to wish him a Happy Birthday. This morning the birthday boy shared his remarkable secret of his long life:...

"They say I am 102 years old"

"Wow your 102 years old"

Herbert Gentle
"Yes"

Monica Bodden
"And how are you feeling today"

Herbert Gentle
"I feel the same nothing different"

Monica Bodden
"Nothing different?"

Herbert Gentle
"Every day feeling just the same"

Monica Bodden
"The same as in good and healthy?"

Herbert Gentle
"Yes, I don't let nothing worry me."

Monica Bodden
"Now you care to tell us your secret to staying this I mean for living this long, and you're not old at all and you look very young."

Herbert Gentle
"How? (laughing) what did you say?"

Monica Bodden
"What's the secret for staying alive this long?"

Herbert Gentle
"And for staying very young (laughing)."

Monica Bodden
"What's the secret?

Herbert Gentle
"That it not any secret"

"Well you have to tell them what you do."

Herbert Gentle
"I just build, do and feel about everything I want to do the right way, don't screw up things and make a mess of things, no. Try to do everything the right way as will be. Anytime I move I try to make the right move in all my life. I don't like to know I do something and screw them up someone else no, that is not right, when it comes to sports and things like that, that's different (laughing) oh yes I take chance in all sports and different things and always do well."

"You use to do sports?"

Herbert Gentle
"Oh yes that my hobby, bicycle this that and the other, I was a lively going feller."

Tonight Herbert Gentle will be celebrating his Birthday with friends, family and church members.
