I have a package that I need to send to a school in Barranco. It weights about 1.5 pounds.

For me to send it to Belize from the US is about $15 USD.

Any suggestions on how can I find out how much it would be send it from San Pedro? I will be there in a month's time.

You should be able to send it via cargo with Tropic Air for less than that. I normally pay $6-$8BZD for small packages to Belize City.

Tropic will only get it to PG and Barranco is a long drive or bus ride in. Usually someone from Barranco comes in once a week and gets the mail for the village from the post office. Unless who you are sending it to comes into town alot. Tropic or Maya would be your cheapest alternative and you know it would get there. Also if you send it from a US post office the person recieving it will have to pay duty and taxes on the package. Sending it from San Pedro avoids that.

Perfect. Just what I needed to know.

I know about the duty/taxes issue if sent from the US.

Thanks for your help!
