Hi all,

booking tickets for January and flying out of Calgary Canada. Is there one US City / Carrier that is consistently the cheapest to fly out of to Belize City? I've checked Houston and Miami and they both seem pretty expensive and trying to book one ticket Calgary to BZE seems really out of whack so, I was hoping to fly a budget carrier or use air miles to one of the larger US hubs and buy a ticket from there.

Also, what about flights from Cancun to BZE, anyone ever tried that?

How about driving to Spokane Washington. Take the evening flight and arrive in Belize at noon the next day. Here is what I just took off Orbitz for a 2 week vacation. Leaves on a Friday night.

Probably not exactly what you are looking for but an amazing offer from Tropic Air announced on Facebook today.

If you can use your miles that's your best best. Tickets from Calgary-BZE are pretty consistent averaging $1000-1100, especially during busy season.

I love these kinds of puzzles. I just did a quick check on kayak.com and you can get Calgary>Cancun flights for under $500, midweek, January. Then Maya Regional does a daily connection between CUN and BZE for $299rt. http://mayaregional.com/ Convenient service but unfortunately their website is consistently terrible. You might have to call or ask your hotel in Belize to do the booking for you.

However, then you have to consider $299 + $500 = $799. So now you are saving each passenger about $150, which is good, but you might spend that anyway if you end up needing a hotel in Cancun on each end of the trip.

It's also possible to take buses from CUN down to BZE, which is significantly cheaper than the $299 flight. I believe there is another recent forum topic about this.
