Why the price differenc between Belize City and San Pedro ? Tropic Air flights from the International Air Port are $63.00 one way but from the Muni airport are half that. What would be the taxi costs between the two?? Confused in Ca.

Taxi is $50 BZ, making it marginally cheaper.

The price difference is because of the taxes charged to Tropic at the International airport.

Landing Fees.

You land at international in Ladyville and walk from customs to the tropic ticket counter a few feet away and fly out of the same airport in the same town.
To depart from municipal, you need to catch a Taxi to Belize City and depart from Belize city Municipal airstrip.
You might save a few bucks (maybe) but way not worth the hassle.

Even with three or four you need to make sure you are not late otherwise you might spend the night in Belize city and that will certainly not be cheaper. Also the flights from muni sometimes go to International airport and Caye caulker. Not worth the effort.

If you ask at the desk at PGIA they will tell you it's a "convenience" fee. If you have more than one person muni is the way to go.
