For the past week we have been watching royal Caribbean resort dump wheel barrows full of concrete chunks off their pier. They have been tearing down the sandbar resturant on site. Do not know if is illegal, but may be he'll on the tour boats that pick people up. Watch your propellers!

Hummmm I dumped 10 or so off mine, the pile of concrete chunks quickly grow sponge and last week i counted 8 lobsters calling it home. I haven't seen what your referring to, but its not always bad. I was careful to place it so i wouldn't bend my prop.
The lobsters need to grow up a little before I talk to them about dinner.

Any idea why the Sandbar is being torn down?

Lots of $ to tear down a perfectly good building.

I'd like to know what the plans are for that property if anyone knows.

I just can't make sense of tearing down a perfectly good building that was being leased??????????

Yes, I knew the lease was canceled / not renewed, I just can't figure out why?

There's room behind the Sandbar to build more hotel rooms if needed but my understanding is the last thing AC needs right now is more hotel rooms????????????

Aren't occupancy rates really low right now and have been low for some time?

I don't think they will build more rooms,if anything it will probably end up closing. the previous manager left and the place is in terrible shape. I have talked to several guests who checked out shortly after arriving.the web site still shows a restaurant etc. A far cry from the dirty plastic strewn beach, overgrown weeds and piles of debris.
