The issue of prostitution may be one we agree to disagree. I have really mixed feelings about it. But when it is used for sexual exploitation of under age kids, there is no confusion for me.

I use to agree with the stance that prostitution is going to exist, and is a victimless crime, and not much can be done about it but you have to draw the line at underage kids being involved. That was until I saw a documentary on prostitution which pretty much showed how most adults selling themselves as prostitutes are indeed victims, and pretty messed-up people with very low self-esteem.

Guys can kid themselves about prostitution not being harmful to adult women, but it kinda is.

Didn't say its not harmful, it definitely screws up the individual, just inevitable that every city/town will have some.
There is positively an entrapment situation that exists in Belize where young women from Honduras, Guatemala and Dominica are promised a better life and are indentured to work as prostitutes to repay cost for passport and work permit in Belize but not on the grossly exaggerated scale as discussed on these threads.
Its an international crime when a passport is involved, thus the pressure from the US State Department to clean it up.
The local police don't give it priority because its small scale but nationally there is pressure to act and show compliance or be punished by the State Department.
As a Belizean I resent the US involvement I find the the US condescending and you don't even want to hear my opinion of Hillary Clinton.
