Carl Hiaasen seems to hate what i hate and love what i love.

Sounds like an interesting plot Elbert. I think there was a similar plot on TV - I think it was CSI Miami or it may have been a made for TV movie.

Interesting side note, the "islands" in that area are mainly man-made via drag lines, dredging etc.

I love Carl too, and that whole wacko Florida offbeat genre bunch...Dave Barry, Elmore Leonard...but I don't get Tim Dorsey, but Datallmon loves him. So, tanx, Elbert, will download it ASAP,

I love Hiaason and do have trouble with Dorsey all though my craziest friend likes him. Laurence Shames is in the same genre.
