Hi KenB! I think I saw on another post earlier this week that the water temp was about 82 or so. One of the dive guys down there posted it. Let's hope it gets even better! We're gonna be down there 6/2 - 6/10. Have a great trip! Sharon

P.S. 16 days & counting! 15 for you (like you aren't keeping track!)

Mr B.: I've never been there before, but looking forward to it. If the diving is anything like the Bay Islands of Honduras, it should be very good.

shaygray: Where are you guys staying? And, have you ever been there before?

KenB, We're staying at Hotel del Rio. We went the rustic route. I was in San Pedro about 3 1/2 years ago over a long weekend on a fluke. What a fluke it was! I love the place! Took way too long to go back. Bringing my boyfriend with me this time. Acually spending a couple of nights on the mainland (Jungle Lodge) for some cave tubing and rapelling. I'm SO excited! Gonna go to the BBQ at BC's on Sunday, 6/3. Sounds like that's the meeting spot. Maybe we'll meet you!! "Belize it!" Sharon

To all you water lovers.....don't forget about the Pica-Pica. Do a search. It was mentioned about a week ago. we ran into it May 5 at Hol Chan and a few days earlier down at South Water Cay (we were sailing). I believe suntan lotion or baby oil will protect you from it.....unfortunately, we didn't know that at the time. And some people are more susceptible to it than others.

MR B...I am from St.Augustine,FL and my wife and I are going to Placenia first and then flying to AC. The rooms have thatched roofs and it is one big open room. There are no TV's which I personally love, but they are all nice and cool with air conditioning. They are kept immaculately and the showers are nice and hot. I am a restaurant owner and I have eaten in most of the top restaurants on AC and feel Ramon's is on par with all the top ones. They have a nice long dock to chill out on at night and there is also very descent snorkling at it. The pool they have there is also as nice if not the very best on the island. Oh yea, the grounds around the hotel are absolutely beautiful too and every morning there is someone raking the beach in front. The Purple Parrot is the bar and it too is great. I love it there and I am sure you will too. I can't wait to get on that plane!
