I know it's not in Belize but I was wondering if anyone had any reports on Xcalak?

Yesterdays CNN.com story titled "Hurricane Keith roars ashore in southern Mexico" had a segment......Riding the storm out..... where they had actually talked to Marina Mike.

We plan to visit to visit the property also in Nov. - Dec. We are hoping the best for everyone affected by this horrible storm. Lisa & Malcolm

Spoke to Marina Mike's late last night and the damage he had was from the wind to his palapas. At that time, flooding hadn't been a problem in the northern part of the city limits. The dock of the Aventuras XTC dive shop was still standing.

Whenever I get any more information I'll pass it on.

I am also worried about some friends in the Xcalak area. Has anyone heard from Tom Biller and Yamira? How about Dave Randall from Costa de Cocos?

Thanks

Steve

Talked to Tom's dad and heard that Tom and Yamira are OK. Also heard that Tierra Maya lost their dock and that there dive boat was OK.

Don't have any information about either Dave or Costa de Cocos and whether they evacuated or not.

I'll follow up whenever I hear something else and am going to try to find out if there was any flooding in the south part of town.

We own property 5 miles north of Xcalak. Not worried about our land, just concerned for anyone who is there. Any more news of people and places would be appreciated. Sin Duda, Villas Caracol, Sandwood Villas, etc.?
