Don't be in such a rush to move to europe.. sure they get 4 to 6 weeks vacation, but they have to survive on lower wages... ( how would you like to try supporting a family on only 60 or 70k a year).. I work for a multinational IT firm and the people I work with on projects that are not from the states make quite a bit less than we do. They also tend to enjoy what they have and don't sweat over their stock options, 401k's, and other money matters...so it all evens out in the end.
me personally.. i did the blue collar labor thing.. went into the marines.. gave my blood and sweat ( literally) for 5 years, got an education, jumped into the IT field, and will reap the benefits for the rest of my life.
High pay, 5 weeks paid time off, great bennies, and all the stress that comes with it.. it's a tradeoff, but it's fun now until a wife and kids come along.
Everybody has the same chances in life, no matter where you're from or what kind of background you come from... Make out of it what you will.
