My favorite blender conked out on me while making a smoothie yesterday. I think something in the motor burnt out. Does anyone know where I might be able to have the motor fixed?

Not another Q-Tip story!

I have found that once a blender burns out, throw it away and buy a new one. cheaper in the long run.

Bummer. This was my favorite blender. Seems a shame to throw it all away knowing that another blender purchased down here won't last long. Not sure what the q tip reference is... Thanks!

When I lose a blender I keep the Carafe....Many are interchangeable and it's great when entertaining you can offer several frozen drink options.

There are very nice blenders at Mirab.
Oster and other such brands. Should last just fine.

Give me a model and serial number. I will look for one here online and see about cost and availabilty. I'm down in 16 days.

A&R has blenders. Suddenly, many things they carry causes a drop in prices everywhere. Priceless!

Couldn't live without my Magic Bullet - they sometimes have them at Caye Supplies or else Food & Beverage in the City.

I think I saw a magic bullet at War Paint in San Pedro.

The Q-tip comment was in refernce to an earlier posting that was about as necessary to post as the need to find help for a burnt out blender.

Ha! I think it's perfectly fine for anyone to post about the possibility of repairing an item that would otherwise sit in the landfill on our quaint little island. I am holding out hope and not tossing it in the garbage yet. However I did find a great replacement at Caye Supplies for $106 BZ and it works great! Back to yummy smoothies!
