Planning a trip for 2 in early March. Hubby wants a bit-o-luxury, so may have narrowed it down to Seaside Cabanas or Lazy Iguana. He wanted to see sunsets (such a romantic), and I'm not sure where on the isle they are located. Can't wait!!!

I think Iguana Reef would be the best for a combo of comfort/luxury and fantastic sunset views. Our friends stayed there when visiting us and really enjoyed it. The reef is to the east as is the prevailing breeze. Iguana Reef is on the west side of the Caye - the lagoon side. Lazy Iguana also has good sunset views - it is a bed and breakfast and smaller and is also on the west side. I would check them both out online and see what fits best for you. Caye Caulker isn't a truly luxury area you know - Cayo Espanto is mega for that, but then it's also mega $$$... :-)

I would go with Iguanna Reef, Has a great deck on the water to watch the sunsets. Really run by pros.

thanks for the info, I'll check them out. We don't really have mega $$$$ ( I'm a teacher lol) but thought we'd upgrade a bit for 3 days.

The Iguana Reef is a beautiful place but keep in mind the island is only a 1/4 mile wide. You and Hubby will never be more than a 5 minute walk away from the sunset....
