He everyone! We are leaving for AC in a few weeks and then to the mainland to the rain forest. We will be staying at the Exotic Caye on AC and Jaguar Paw in Belize. We are divers and are really looking forward to the trip. We have been to Roatan and really love Central America. Any comments or suggestions from anyone? Would really appreciate any input, sounds like everyone has had a fabulous time. Was there a lot of rain? What about visability and water temp. ? Thank you!!! Denise from California.

we were in Ac beg. of April-very windy so vis was low. My husband is the diver in the family-definitely do the day trip to the Blue Hole and if possible my husband said he would have also done the day trip to the Elbow. Do the night dive at Hol Chan. Snorkel Shark/ray alley. On the mainland would recommend the Belize Zoo-we loved it. Also we did Tikal in Guat. and Lamanai day trip from AC to mainland. We also spent time on the mainland and then time on AC. Have a great trip!

Yes the past few days there has been a lot of rain which will affect the visability slighlty mainly in the first 10 ft or so of water since fresh water is less dense than salt therefore stays on the surface.

it should clear up in a few days,

Water temp here is a steady 80 degrees with slight fluctuations, visability can vary from 40-120ft depending on the site and weather at the time but expect a good 80ft on most dives.
