Come out and support Saga Humane Society with our monthly cook-off fundraiser for 2011. Each month will feature a different theme and the recipes will become part of a cookbook that will be available for sale at the end of the year.
There will be a prize for 1st and 2nd place and also a raffle on the night of the event.

South and North Asian Countries
Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Brunei, Cambodia, India, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Maldives, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam, China, Taiwan, Japan, North Korea, South Korea, & Mongolia.

To enter, bring your ‘Everything Asian’ dish to the event no later than 6:00 p.m. The dish must serve a minimum of 60 sample size portions.

Just a reminder that the Saga monthly cook-off, Asian Cuisine, is coming up next Wednesday, February 23rd.

Tacklebox hosts second SAGA cook-off

Saga Humane Society says Thank You!

Saga Humane Society would like to thank everyone for their generous support with our monthly cook-off which was held on February 23rd at the Tackle Box Bar & Grill. We raised $1,383.00BZ through tickets, donations and raffle ticket sales.

We want to thank those who entered their Asian dishes: Laura Sutton, Bella, Jean Allred, “Sushi” Sharon Metcalf, and the Tackle Box Bar & Grill. Second place went to Kevin from the Tackle Box with his Shrimp Lo-Mein. Kevin received a lovely chip & dip platter and a set of knives courtesy of War Paint. First place went to Laura Sutton with her Asian Pork Sliders. She received a set of bake ware along with serving utensils courtesy of Wings.

The first raffle prize, a gift certificate to D&E’s, went to Heather who turned around and donated it to Mark, one of our young volunteers at the cook-off. Amigo del Mar donated a trip for two to the Blue Hole which was won by our own Dr. Orlando Baptist, our Saga Vet.

Congratulations to all the winners and a big thank you to all our sponsors and supporters! We cannot do it without your support.
