“It is going to happen at the northern part of the Corozal Town Coastal area, it is called the Rainbow Beach. We are hoping to have a couple of event apart from the regatta. The regatta will involve nine to twelve sailing boats that will be doing several sailing races in the day. We will have categories like male, female racing and it will be open to anyone who wants to take part. Apart from the sailing we will be having Gillharry Seven Band performing live for us all day long with a couple DJs as well like International Vibes from Orange Walk. We will also have events to hype the crowd to keep them entertained. We expect to have different contests and prizes will be given out. There will also be food that represent t he region like ceviche, Pibil tacos, and the usual rice and beans, Bar-B-Q, cow foot soup, escabeche and other Hispanic foods. The initial idea was to organize an event to explore the beautiful of Corozal Bay but during the course of the preparations we realized it will generate income so we decided to contribute the money in assisting underprivileged children who need medical attention.”

The Corozal Water Festival and Expo will kick off all day on Sunday and the proceeds made will go towards the Saving Lives Every day (SLED) Foundation.
