The Mule Park in Belize City, a remnant of a bygone era when mule and cart was the principal mode of transportation, is a getting a well-overdue upgrade.

Councilor Phillip Willoughby explained to The Reporter what the project entails, on Wednesday, March 16.

“It’s a project being funded by the Belize City Council and Bowen and Bowen group of companies... we’ve been discussing it for a period of time now and we want to enhance the ambience of the area and the downtown look.”

There will also be new planters, new street lights and, according to Willoughby, even the Belize Electricity Limited is playing a big part in the overall scheme of things.
