Earthquakes going on right now for a few minutes as my trading room up on the third floor vibrates and wobbles.

Looks like they just had a 6.7 mag near Veracruz, Mexico.

Magnitude 7.4 earthquake hits off Japan. Tsunami alert is issued for ravaged northeastern coast.

About the Mexican quake - it was about 100 miles deep. Not dangerous although mild shaking was apparently widespread. Apparently this is not an uncommon event for that location.

My heart is with the good people of Japan.
