Both projects are expected to commence in the third quarter of this year. Prime Minister Dean Barrow signed on behalf of the Government of Belize while Caroline Clarke, IDB Representative in Belize signed on behalf of the IDB. The occasion was also used for signing a Technical Cooperation Agreement between the IDB and the Belize Water and Services, Ltd. in the sum of 500 thousand US dollars for the Detailed Design of a Wastewater Collection and Treatment System in Placencia.
