Okay, I am on some other forums and we always have a thread about what your profession was and is.
I would like to see how the Belize islands have changed peoples lives (professions) as it concerns to being employed (or not).

List up what work you did before you came to the island and then after you moved to paradise.

I will start,
15 years as a building contractor, 14 years as a building inspector (government)...,

Now, Woodworker/government inspection (building) regulations

Not yet on the islands man..., but working on it !!

This seems like an appropriate place to make my first post, my wife and I acquired villa No 4 at Los Encantos in January this year we are from the UK and are former police officers, she 10 years me 22years, for the past 15 years we have run our own security business (for those interested www.safeventures.com) we are now heading towards retirement, in about 5 years time, and so this is where we intend to spend a good part of our time. We are here until end of May and then back for a couple of months towards the end of the year. We have been following this message board for about 3 years, the time we have been visiting the island, and have found it to be honest , informative and entertaining.

Regards
Martin & Sue

I can't believe that there are only 7 people on this forum that have had a profession either then or now !!

Come on everybody, post up your work so we all know what you are good at.
