Hi. I'm thinking of going to Ambergris Caye for a week in August with my girlfriend (our first time there -- it looks really beautiful), but I have read the weather can be rainy/muggy during that month -- is this true? Does anyone know what sort of weather I can expect during August? Is there a chance of a hurricane? Thanks. Riley

I spent 2 weeks in San Pedro last August.
Slightly muggy for a California boy, but adapted quickly. there is an onshore breeze which keeps it very tolerable.
Last couple of days, had a cloudburst or two.
The wind dies, it turns muggy, rains like hell for 10 minutes, then goes away.
I'm going back....don't worry and enjoy!
