Thanks for the photo Chris. Many of those chemicals end up in the sea or in the ground water system. It would be good if San Pedro had its own DOE officer and office. Often times these incidents are because of lack of knowledge of the consequences, willful violators should face substantial fines. Run off from our streets is definitely affecting the sea environment in front of town. We need a good waste disposal system that can handle these types of toxic wastes along with oil etc. along with some education on how to handle the cleaning of paint drums, for example, in an environmentally acceptable way. The DOE should be our best friend.
