Someone posted this pic on Facebook, and I didn't make the connection but I thought "I know those people, what are their names again?" HAHAHA

Streets were closed off; traffic was crazy on the island and police officers everywhere, people asking who’s here? So what was all the commotion about? Gene Simmons “The Demon”, bassist/vocalist of rock band –KISS is in San Pedro filming an episode of Gene Simmons Family Show.

Ambergris Today’s reporters were out to catch a picture of the famous artist and followed Gene Simmons and Shannon Tweed and the camera crew as they filmed on the main streets of San Pedro. Gene and Shannon were filmed on Barrier Reef Drive as they visited local stores, Pretty Ethnic and Salty Dog.

Gene along with his film crew was in the company of Belize Police and even had several main roads blocked for their filming. Gene and Shannon then visited one of San Pedro’s famous restaurants – Elvi’s Kitchen.

Simmons and Tweed have been riding around town along with their film crew and will be filming at two of San Pedro’s top resorts. Stay tuned for video footage of Gene Simmons filming on Ambergris Caye.

Gene Simmons' Belize It or Not Episode Airs Today

Gene Simmons and his family visited Belize and San Pedro this past May 2011 and now the episode they call “Belize It or Not” will air tomorrow night, Tuesday, July 26 on the A&E Network. Gene’s show “Gene Simmons Family Jewels” airs on A&E (Local Channel 104 at 9p.m. with a repeat at 10p.m.)

From the previews it looks to have some nice Belize scenes and it looks like Gene finally proposed to Shannon and it all happened in San Pedro, Belize. Don’t Miss it. You better Belize it!!!

I met Gene last year and when I referred to his 'wife' he immediately countered with "I'm not married". She must have been ready to leave him in order for this marriage-phobe to have popped the question. I have to wonder if he'll even go through with it. I wish them all the best though!

Family Jewels is a very popular show and Gene Simmons and Kiss still have quite a big fan base.

Between him and Bob Bounahra Belize is getting a lot of international press lately.

Should be a good shot in the arm for much needed tourism.

Now when people ask where is San Pedro? You can say where Gene Simmons proposed to his wife...not just the Island Madonna wrote about 25 years ago.

Oh yeah, and the Island where Ernie B lives...
