Can anybody help me out with the type of wildlife that is/has been seen on AC. I have 1 curious Boxer when it comes to other animals. And tourists don't count as wildlife lol.....

Jon, I have the same concerns with my dog when it comes time to bring him down with us. He has a high prey drive and not very good sense (has gone after a goat and even a cow once). Most people told me that dogs seem to chill out a bit once they see how the other dogs act on the island. I am hoping that is the case with us because I don't want to loose my little guy to a croc!

Lotsa raccoons! Dogs learn to avoid them as they can do serious damage....very tough guys!

crocks are a definite problem for dogs on the island.
raccoons are good teachers and dogs learn quick.
Wild pigs tore up a dogs rearend up the beach from me, but i think he even looks smarter now.
some locals wack dogs with machetes on the beach but
still all and all a great place for dogs!

I don't think any dogs are at risk for snakes on the island unless you have a Chihuahua that likes to run in the back lagoons!
but yes we have some 10 to 15 foot snakes that eat mostly mice, birds and frogs.

Elbert what are those beautiful little birds that are around Rendezvous/Solaria right now. I only catch fleeting glimpses of them but they appear to be black with yellow and perhaps even red patches?

I saw a small silver fox near Indigo a couple of days ago. Not a risk for a dog - but a special sight.
If you mind your dog you'll be fine.
