People who remember Cannibals' Beach Bar in its heyday will want to know that Jan was found dead a few days ago. I only found out today. Her son Ryan who ran it so superbly until he left maybe three or four years ago apparently came down to deal with her affairs, but few people saw him.

Any details ?

I'm afraid I know absolutely no details. I've spoken to Ryan though - he's back in the States again - and it's all true. He found out from the US Embassy.

She had been sick for some time. It was heart and liver failure. My condolences to all her family. RIP Jan
