I am going to be going to San Pedro for the first time in June. I will be going out Tarpon fishing on June 18th for a full day. I am staying at Ruby's and booked the fishing through them. Can anyone tell me who might be guiding my wife and I? What techniques are used, etc? I have never fly-fished so I am a bit nervous about it.

You'll have either Manuel or Vincent. Both patient, excellent, and hard working. If you don't flyfish, they'll net some sardines for bait, and use reasonably heavy spinning rods. Don't sweat it, they'll talk/walk you through it.

That makes things much less stressful. I did do a little Snook fishing in Florida with livebait so hopefully it will be very similar. Here's to hoping I hook a few.

Thanks again.
