Hello all, my fiance and I are planning our honeymoon in Belize next June. I really want to stay in a Jungle lodge for 3 or 4 nights before heading to the Ambergris Caye. I really like the Cave's Branch Lodge. We are a little concerned about the heat there in June. Most of our days will be spent in the caves...but I want to make sure we can sleep at night. Can anyone tell me about the temps at night? Does it tend to cool off to bearable levels for sleeping? Are the fans in the rooms at Cave's branch adequate? Any input is appreciated, thanks in advance!

I stayed at Caves Branch with a group of kids in August a couple of years ago (they sponsored a great adventure for Be Kind Belize) and the shade of the trees combined with the river seemed to keep it incredibly comfortable.

Maybe check out Chan Chich - they have one cabana with air conditioning - and its a beautiful setting - I recommend flying not driving. I was there in March 2011 and it was HOT! Near 100 every day!!!

We stayed at Chan Chich in one of the deluxe cabanas earlier this month for a week. It's hot but not unbearable. We've gone every summer for the past 5-6 years at the same time. There is a ceiling fan in each cabana, a beautiful pool to soak in during the heat of the day and comfortable sleeping at night. It's truly a jungle experience in a beautiful, accommodating location.
