Hello all. My fiance and I are planning our honeymoon for next June and I think we have settled on staying at Matachica. I hear that things at the resort are generally quiet and wind down fairly early in the evening. We would like to have the option of spending an evening or two in San Pedro at some of the bars. As I understand it you must take a water taxi to get to/from Matachica to San Pedro. I would like to know how late in the evenings these taxi's run? Also, approximatley how much do the trips cost and will we need to take a second land taxi from the dock into town? Thanks in advance for your help!

Coastal Express (kind like a water-bus) runs as late as 2 am depending on what night of the week.
Private water-taxis run late too - the operator himself will have to tell you.
Both methods of boat transport will pick you up at the Mata Chica dock and drop you in San Pedro in the heart of the night-life action.
Not sure the cost of Coastal Express these days, but Mata Chica's staff can tell you for sure.

Mata Chica also runs their own boat into town for guests a few times a day.
