We are planning a trip to Amergris Cay next week, arriving on July 4th and staying for a week. We are traveling with two small kids and I am considering cancelling the trip due to the bad weather you guys are having. How bad is the weather? Can we go fishing or snorckle? Should we cancel and reschedule for a better season?

Coulda-woulda-shoulda
Unless you know there is a Hurricane coming-which there isnt-never cancel a trip because of what the weather "might" be.
GO and have fun!

Come on down!! The winds are softening - they were from Arlene and she's long gone.
It's beautiful. Small kids always have a good time playing on the beach.

To be fair there has been little diving fishing or snorkelling in the last week or more. Very little rain but it's sure been windy and the sea is rough. However the wind can't last much longer - can it?

The Blue Hole trip went and we sent Mexico Rocks snorkelling and Hol Chan Snorkelling and diving but nothing out side the reef...still way to rough.

The nicest part of the weather is that it is not too hot.
There is always lots to do here as more variety of water sports is being offered.
I spotted some wind surfers yesterday and a few kayakers.
