To Clarify: Everyone feel it's worth the extra approx. $130 to take the flight to Ambergris instead of the water taxi rather than spend that $130 elsewhere?

The $130.00 by air is round trip and the $45.00 or so is for 1 way on the ferry W/Taxi ride, can be 3 hrs longer.

Flight is a very cool experience you could always do a split and fly one way boat the other if it is a question of saving a few dollars.

I figured $250 on TropicAir for 2 people and around $70+$50 Taxi for the water taxi for 2 people (round trip). Trying to decide if TropicAir is worth the difference...we leave tomorrow!

Flying is really, really worth it. You are on the island in 20 minutes and the view is incredible.

The feeling you get when the plane makes its approach & you see the island from the air is beyond description--at least it was for me.

I was fortunate enough to sit in the co-pilot seat. It was amazing.
