Aren't the airfares cheaper from the Municiple airport to San Pedro. Does anyone know the difference in price from the International airport vs Municiple Airport. We have 3 people traveling. Thanks!

Yes, they are around $25 US per person cheaper. You will have to take a taxi from International to Municipal which will be anywhere from $25 US to $50 US for the 3 of you.

Actually, it is $125 USD from International and only $72 USD from Municipal. That is $53 savings per person. But...you do need to factor in that $25 taxi fare EACH way. It cuts into your savings. It is better if you have four people to split the taxi fare, then it is a better savings.

Sorry I was only quoting one way as they did not ask about round trip. Time and the baggage lugging after an already long day in airports all day make the flights WELL worth the extra money in my opinion.

coming from san pedro landing at municiple as co pilot in the front seat is where u want to sit....i nearly had a heart attack with that small runway...thinking i was going to keep going into the ocean....what a rush

I agree. With only three people, the time and hassle saved by flying from International is well worth it. Plus.....if you ask at the Maya Island Air counter for their 15% walk-up cash discount, you can save enough for a nice meal on the island.
