Does AC offer horsback riding? My husband and I will be staying on the Mainland for 3 days and were planning on riding one of those days. However, after reading all the RAVE reviews on cave tubing I was thinking of doing that instead and then fitting horseback riding in when we go to the AC. Since we want to definately do TIKAL, I don't think we will have time to do both horseback and tubing while on the mainland. Can anybody advise as to whether or not AC has horseback riding. I've already made the assumption that they do not have tubing on AC.
Thanks again for helping us plan our trip. November 29th and counting.
Used to be a little stable on Ambergris, but it is no more. Don't believe that's an option on the island now. On the mainland, Banana Bank, MET, and Chaa Creek are among those with equestrian operations.
You should be able to fit all three activities in- Tikal in a day, cave trip in a day and then horseride the morning of your departure. There is no horseriding anymore on Ambergris. I was just at Banana Bank and so glad I took the few hours to ride in the jungle-a fabulous experience.
We also stayed 3 days on the mainland first. We did the Belize Zoo on our way to our lodge from the airport. The next day was an all day trip to Tikal. The last day we went horsebackriding in the jungle-it's truly a great experience and I would recommend it.
